: when i made this i meant she literally wakes up at sunrise (in the east) and sleeps at sunset (in the west). when i first showed this zine to people, they interpreted it as raised in the east (the philippines) and settled in the west (the US) and i feel like i enjoy that metaphor but want to acknowledge i'm not calling asia "the east"!
